We spent some time browsing around the Half Price Books last week while we waited on their buyer to give us a price on several boxes of books we were looking to part with. While we were looking around I came across a book on sushi preparation. Cynthia had commented several time over the past few weeks that she would like to learn how to make sushi so I suggested we get this book.

Cynthia had never attempted sushi before, but was eager to try. A co-worker of hers named Louis who knows a little about the process told her about a store called Nippon Daido which just happens to be around the corner from where we live. They sell everything you need to make sushi, from wasabi mix to sashimi grade fish. We stopped by on Saturday to pick up the supplies and today Cynthia tried her hand at rolling some home grown sushi.

This is the very first roll she made:

Not bad for a beginner!

Boxes of books!?! Hooray, I’m so proud of Cynthia for being able to let some go.

She was inspired to re-organize once the OED arrived. That, and she had to make some room!

Sushi looks good, how did it taste? Not only is it a trick to roll it properly, but also to get the rice the correct flavor.

    Nice,
As you have interest in having sushi, Its really a delicious and extremely diet-friendly meal. One of the cheaper and more popular types of sushi in the market.
